This explains what Devandgo FZ-LLC, trading as Knockwire, does with personal data. Devandgo FZ-LLC is the data controller for our customers’ account data. We are the data controller for our customers’ account data.
Data we hold about our customers
- Account: name, work email, company, and the settings you configure.
- Billing: processed by Stripe, our payment provider. We hold your billing email, the country, and a record of each payment. We never see or store your full card number.
- Usage: logs of how the service is used, kept to operate and secure it.
Data about the companies we research
Knockwire reads information that organisations have published about themselves, including company descriptions, public profiles, published contact pages and role addresses such as sales@ or info@. This is business contact information, processed on the basis of legitimate interest in business-to-business communication.
Where a company has published no working contact form, Knockwire obtains a business contact for one person at that company from a contact data provider: name, job title, work email address and, where the provider supplies it, a link to a public professional profile. That record exists to deliver one message and to honour a request not to be contacted. It is never used to build a profile, and it is deleted on request.
We deliberately do not:
- guess or generate email addresses that a company has not published;
- build profiles of private individuals;
- buy lists or bulk personal data. A contact data provider is asked about one named company at a time, and only when that company published no form;
- contact anyone who has asked us not to.
Anyone who asks to be removed is added to a permanent suppression list, which we retain for the sole purpose of never contacting them again. Ask us to remove you.
Sharing
We share data only with the providers needed to run the service (payment processing via Stripe, hosting, and email delivery), each bound to process it only on our instructions. We do not sell personal data.
Retention
Account data is kept while your account is open and for 12 months afterwards. Billing records are kept for the seven years tax law requires. Suppression records are kept indefinitely, because deleting them would mean contacting someone who asked us not to.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict or port your personal data, and to object to processing. Send us a data request and we will respond within 30 days. You may also complain to your local data protection authority.
International transfers and security
Data may be processed outside your country. Where that happens we rely on appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses. We use encryption in transit, access controls, and least-privilege access internally.
